April M. Summerlin started as receptionist with the firm in 1994 and has been a legal assistant since 1998. She works primarily in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and bankruptcy. April supports the attorneys in those areas assisting with client communications, gathering of necessary information, and the drafting, preparation and filing of documents.
April was born in Atlanta, Georgia but left there at an early age due to her father's business, and grew up in Anderson, South Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida, where she graduated from Sandlewood High School. She moved to Rocky Mount in 1989 and currently resides in Nashville with her husband and two daughters.
