Tracy A. Smith joined Batts, Batts & Bell as an associate in August of 2005. She practices primarily in the areas of general civil litigation, bankruptcy, collections, and corporate law. Her most recent cases include the following: defending a business against alleged Medicare fraud, helping to resolve or litigate identity thefts, representing people who invested in a fraudulent investment scheme, contract disputes, and trade secrets claims.
Tracy is from Nazareth, Pennsylvania. In 1999, she graduated cum laude from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania with a B. S. in Computer Science. She worked for 3 years as a software engineer and then returned to school. She obtained her J.D. from the University of North Carolina in May of 2005 and joined Batts, Batts & Bell shortly thereafter. She is admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in North Carolina.
